President's Safari - 2011
The annual President's Fly-In was held over the weekend of 23rd to 25th September. This year was a little different with a mini-safari rather than a fixed location. This was in response to feedback from the membership. The participants gathered at Deniliquin in NSW where we were welcomed by local Airtourer Association member Gary Coote and the Deniliquin aeroclub. Next day, after a tour of the town, and lunch provided by the aeroclub, it was off to Mungo Lodge, a 4 1/2 star resort in the NSW outback. The final day was at Hay on the Murrumbdigee River with visits to the historic goal and railway station to see the exhibition on the WW II internment and POW camp.
An busy and enjoyable weekend blessed by good weather and great company. Full report in the the next Airtourer Association Newsletter.

Sunset at Mungo Lodge with the Airtourers, (and others), safely tied down for the night.
